Samurai Karate International is lead by Sensei Paul Mitchell.

Sensei Paul began his karate career studying Kyokushin before being drawn to Shukokai. Sensei Paul commenced his Shukokai training under the late Kimura Sensei. When granted permission he travelled to Japan to train under Tani Sensei at the Shukokai World Headquarters. In 1980 Sensei Paul established the Austalian Shukokai Karate Association (ASKA) and formed Samurai Karate International. Today Samurai Karate International is an organisation with Dojos throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United Kingdom. Sensei Paul's grade has been awarded by the Shukokai World Karate Association (SWKA). Sensei Paul was a direct student of the late Grand Master of Shukokai, Tani Sensei and was the only westerner ever awarded the rank of Shihan (master teacher) by Tani Sensei. Sensei Paul visits the association dojos on a regular basis monitoring the progress of student and instructor development. Sensei Paul is committed to ensuring the preservation of the Shukokai technique by sharing his expertise and knowledge generously with students of all levels. | ||||||
QUEENSLAND
Samurai Karate Queensland is lead by Sensei Rocky Simmons.

Sensei Rocky began his karate career in England over 30 years ago. He has been training in Australia for 25 years and running his Brisbane based dojo for more than 10 years. Sensei Rocky has competed in numerous national and international kumite and kata events and is a recognised judge and coach with Oceanic and the World Karate Federation. Sensei Rocky has a wealth of knowledge and never fails to inspire and challenge his students on a regular basis. | ||||||
