Affiliations

Affiliations with national and international associations give students the opportunity to train with and be taught by some of the most highly ranked and experienced Shukokai Karata-ka in the world. Our affiliations provide and encourage the opportunity to travel and experience the history and cultures of different countries.

Our extended relationships also give students the opportunity to compete in tournaments and develop their sport karate.

Instructors

Classes are conducted by instructors with internationally recognised accreditation. Our instructors are passionate about the style of karate they practice and teach. They strive towards ensuring students enjoy and benefit from their training. Instructors encourage students to apply the traditional values and principles of Shukokai Karate-Do taught, to life situations outside of the Dojo.

Fees

Our tuition fees are amongst the most competitive in our industry.

Origami Crane

There is an old Japanese legend that states that if you fold 1000 paper cranes any wish you ask for will be granted.

"Thousands of repetitions and out of one's true self perfection emerges" (Zen proverb)

It has in recent times become the symbol of peace and it is in this form that Kickarate embraces the idea that all people can come together to train with the goal of developing the human spirit.

To make a paper crane you start with a flat sheet of paper and after making many folds a crane appears.  People begin karate as a white belt with little knowledge of where the journey will take them but with with training they soon understand just how many opportunities Karate has to offer.  At Kickarate the crane symbolises the development of the student with Karate training.
